Theatre for the Teen with Autism

Ages 13-15
Social skills and problem-solving can be improved using theatre games and role playing. This class uses role-playing and student directed scenes to promote conflict resolution, enhance time management skills and help with handling rejection and other stressful situations. Perfect for, but not limited to, students on the autism spectrum who need extra direction when dealing with relationships in the classroom and at home. Exercises promote sensory awareness and provide the opportunity to act out problematic real-life scenarios in a safe setting. Parents are encouraged to attend the first meeting.
