Ready to Finish
I'm in the midst of my last two MA classes, which I am so looking forward to finishing. I can't wait to be able to just relax and spend weekends with my family instead of my basement office or lately working on the laptop in the dinning room so I can at least be around my family. I keep telling myself..done in August, done in August, it has become my new mantra.
For my digital story class, we are to create a unit plan with the use of a digital story. I'm not working and it couldn't be fictious, so I had no idea what I was going to do. I contacted a friend of mine who is an executive director and then I found out it needed to be something personal, so that wiped that option out. Then when discussing my options with some other students, it hit me, I'm creating a digital story on what it has been like to go through the process of becoming a living organ donor. I contacted the transplant coordinator that I have been working with and talked the idea over with her, which she was happy that I would be willing to do it and give it to them to use. I think we are going to do two or end up updating the one I'm working on, as the actual surgery is scheduled after I graduate. So, I've been working on that and the script, which has been difficult. I'm not sure where to start, so hopefully I'll get the script done this weekend.
In my other class, we are working on teams and we had to set ourselves up as a "business" and we are going through the whole RFP process, we recently submitted our interest in the RFP and submitted our questions to the client, which is to develop a cost effective online training for senior and mid-level managers in ethics training. It will be an interesting process.
Anyway...I'm trying to keep my sanity through all this and then it will become a new one of looking for a job, but I'm going to focus on finishing this right now.
